More about Quint*

Quint* is the contact point for queer people who have experienced violence in Rhineland-Palatinate.

Our counseling services are aimed at all queer, inter*, non-binary, trans*, lesbian, gay and bisexual people with feared and/or experienced violence and their relatives.
Counseling can be done in person, by phone, or via video chat.

Personal counseling takes place at our location in Mainz, centrally located near the main train station. Wheelchair access to the counseling center is available.

A telephone consultation is possible by prior appointment.

Consultation in person

Consultation appointments can also take place outside official opening hours by prior arrangement.

Online consultation

We offer advice via video chat. The consultation takes place via a data protection-compliant program.

Possible concerns in our counseling may include:

  • Hostility in the public sphere
  • Conflicts and discomfort in interpersonal relationships
  • Sexualized violence
  • Discrimination and mobbing
  • Violence in the context migration
  • Hate speech on the Internet, (cyber-) stalking
  • Self-inflicted violence
  • Fears and anxieties when coming out
  • Fear of queer violence and discrimination

M. Sc. Psychologist and psychotherapist in training
Esther Fries is M.Sc. Psychologist and currently in apprenticeship to become a psychological psychotherapist (behavioral therapy). She works in various treatment areas with people on the topics of transidentity & gender dysphoria, intercultural psychotherapy and borderline personality disorder. Before working as a consultant at Quint*, she worked for several years in a psychiatric institute outpatient clinic with people with chronic mental diseases.

State approved social worker
Vinzent Anthes (he/him) is a state-approved social worker and prospective educational scientist (M.A.). Previously, Vinzent Anthes worked in an assisted single living for queer people with mental disabilities as well as for people with HIV/Aids.
